Abstract
This paper explores the poten al of film as a medium for moral educa on and spiritual
transforma on, par cularly in countering the nega ve influences of social media on youth. It
examines how faith-based films, guided by media effects and social learning theories, can
promote posi ve values and virtuous character traits. The study reviews historical and
contemporary examples of filmmakers using cinema for evangelism and Chris an educa on. It
also addresses the challenges and opportuni es of the digital landscape, where faith-based films
compete with sensa onalized online content. Ul mately, the paper argues that the strategic use
of film, informed by youth media consump on habits, can help the Church foster moral
development and counter the erosion of values driven by social media. The findings are relevant
for religious leaders, media ministries, and Chris an filmmakers.
