






























SIGNIS HUMANITARIAN FOUNDATION is an arm of SIGNIS AFRICA, the Catholic Association for Communication. It is a Non-Governmental and Non-Profit Organization founded on the basic principle of human communication which is to foster communion. The Foundation thus has the aim of assisting SIGNIS AFRICA to communicate love to humanity. With funds received from Funding Agencies, Governmental Agencies, Financial Institutions, Civil and Faith-based Organizations
Engagements
SIGNIS Humanitarian Foundation engages in:
- Practical outreach to assist indigent persons in Africa, especially those suffering the effects of conflicts and climate change, those who are socially marginalized and vulnerable persons in Africa, especially women and children;
- Practical outreach towards the protection of vulnerable persons in Africa, especially women and children;
- Promoting the understanding and effective use of human and mediated communication for development, intercultural and interreligious dialogue and conflict management in Africa;
- Engage in media education especially for teenagers and youths who may be vulnerable to the negative effects of unenlightened media use;
- Partner with government ministries, agencies, financial institutions and other institutions in training young people in the optimal use of the communication tools, especially the new media;
- Partner with government ministries, agencies, financial institutions and other institutions in promoting positive ecological consciousness;
- Promote media creativity in Africa by facilitating grants for upcoming media producers in various areas of the media and arts production.
